WET DREAMS #collage series

wet-dreams-1

For tomorrow’s group exhibition by Collagistes Collective and Creative Debuts, in association with Whitechapel Gallery First Thursdays, I have started a collage series titled WET DREAMS. The series was inspired by aerial landscape imagery and the sense one feels when viewing the land from above, whether one is viewing it from atop a mountain or from an aeroplane’s window. The above work – WET DREAMS no.1 was sadly rejected by the gallery as it was deemed too inapproriate, but you can see 3 other original collage works from the series at The Black and White Building in Shoreditch until 03 November 2016. Please pop by if you’re in the area to see #TWENTY – an exhibition full of wonderful abstract paintings and inspiring collages. dervinBATARLO @ Living Room (charity auction)

The above dervinBATARLO original mixed media collage art have been donated for Living Room charity auction in Atlanta. The organisation provides housing services to people and families living with HIV/AIDS. I do hope it sells despite the evidence of the work being rushed. I wish I could’ve added more acrylic paint and quink ink. I definitely need to experiment more with different methods of painting.
