portrait of a young man

I’m slightly obsessing with the above painting (Portraint of a Young Man) by Agnolo Bronzino after viewing it at the National Gallery, purely for the colours and the details of the subject’s clothing – the lace collar, the oversized coat with the dropped shoulder and (what appears to be) velvet (or it could be wool or silk) cuffs. The ‘Portrait of a Young Sculptor’ painting (below) is also as fantastic as the painting above. I may have to get the prints for my bedroom or it will definitely be on my Christmas list this year.
