feminine pieces from TWENTY (2) TOO’s SS12 menswear collection

Twenty (2) Too‘s spring/summer 2012 menswear collection caught my attention, mainly to do with my obsession with men in skirts and gender-breaking clothing. Minimal colour palette with some reds and blues injected to some pieces, the clothes are modern and youthful. The collection by Mihai Dan, based in (Bucharest) Romania, consists of long tunics/smocks/dresses (for men?), ankle-length skirts. jumpsuits and a lot of cropped leggings.

baggy shirts and jackets by JUERGEN BERTSCH

Interesting pieces from Juergen Bertsch’s menswear (MA) collection (from London College of Fashion), which consist of oversized shirts with displaced sleeves and halved jackets.

oversized long tunics @ SHAUN SAMSON AW 2011-12

I love Shaun Samson‘s oversized long tunics from his AW 2011-12 collection (via trendland.com). Minimal and very wearable.

S.E.H KELLY

Upon discovering S.E.H Kelly via Facebook, its utilitarian and traditional approach to design got me interested straight away. Simplistic detailing and non-fussy as well as good quality materials in light and neutral palette, their products are definitely ideal for those who love minimalist and traditional clothing. The brand creates garments “with the makers of the British Isles”, sourcing its materials from areas such as West Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and the Midlands. Items can be purchased on their website

The SARTORIALtwist

I came across this cool and ‘random fashion generator’ via Pages Digital. It’s The Sartorialist with a twist, aptly named ‘The Sartorialtwist’. In a collage-like form, it creates random and new style/fashion inspirations using images (3 images per page) from The Sartorialist  blog. Check it out for yourself and be inspired.
